Dwight and Lindsay Lindsey

THE LINDSEY’S STORY

Dwight Lindsey and Lindsay Phillips Lindsey gave their lives to the service of the Lord in their youth.  They began serving the local church together as a family in 2005. They have served the Lord by sharing His love in youth, music, camp, and pastoral ministries over these many years.

The Lindsey’s were given two special blessings from God.  These two blessings are their oldest son Reid and their youngest son Phillip.  As this family has grown so has their love for God and His people. In 2018 the family began praying for a way to serve families with special needs.  In 2019 The Mississippi Baptist Children’s Home became that opportunity.

The Lindsey’s believe Christ died and rose for the redemption of His people.  He has left His people with a command to care for the children in need. “Defend the poor and fatherless: Do justice to the afflicted and needy.” Ps 82:3 To be obedient in this regard is to be imitators of Christ, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestined us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he has made us accepted in the beloved...Be therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God..." Ephesians 1:3-6 … 5:1.
